Are your grandparents super religious? Are you finding it difficult to find appropriate gifts for them? Try to find unique gifts that they like and stay away from stuff they hate. Here are some of the things you should avoid giving them.
They are probably chocoholics. You have to be careful if they are diabetic because you cannot give them sweet stuff. Both of them would end up eating it without the other one knowing.
Gifting them a huge music system with modern music is also a no-no. They would like spiritual music which is soft and soothing.
Don’t even think of gifting any type of lingerie to your grandma. It may be funny to you, but you will be getting yourself into an embarrassing position. Always remember that she is a pious and religious person.
Don’t even think of inviting your grandparents to your gay friends’ wedding; it will leave them shell-shocked!
Avoid getting your grandfather a pair jeans; he will feel like you are playing a joke on him. They will be horrified if you think of gifting him any liquor. They will start praying for you immediately. They will think that Satan has taken over your soul! So to avoid this kind of trouble, put away that idea.
They might think you are Satan if you give them funny stickers with offensive messages. Your life would be miserable as they will be sure to inform your parents. You will land in trouble if you play pranks on them.
Don’t ever think of giving them books or movie DVDs on romantic love. They will certainly be offended. They won’t like posters either on their walls. So don’t plan to buy them any teen posters.
Any sort of noisy toys and whistles are also not for them. As they prefer a silent and a peaceful atmosphere, they would find this quite irritating.
Give them simple bland home cooked food as they might fall ill eating food from a restaurant.
Gift them soft furry blankets instead of rough ones. Take them to choose their own shoes or sandals if you are planning to give them footwear. Some fancy pattern might hurt their feet so don’t even think of it. They would like comfortable foot wear so it important that they select their own footwear.
Gift them something which they will fall in love with. Something religious could be given to them as they patiently plod through their retirement years. You will then become their favorite grandchild.
