Send Burdened Souls Witticisms Via Funny Christmas Greetings
Christmas often is a stressful time. People have to run around town fighting traffic and crowds while hunting down Christmas gifts for people on their list. Spending sums of money can be challenging. Time, already a precious commodity, gets even tighter during the holiday season. All that stress, though, can be relieved when they receive funny Christmas cards in the mail.
Hopefully, one of those cards will be a Christmas card that YOU sent!
That your sense of humor might not be universal is an important consideration when selecting which, or even if a funny card should be sent. That‘s a crucial consideration when the decision is reached if sending a humorous card is appropriate or not. Only begin the selection of humorous Christmas cards if you know the intended recipient well enough to know what strikes their funny bone or if they’ll forgive you if you choose wrong.
There are several types of funny holiday cards. Common topics of such cards include:

- Santa
It’s not uncommon in cards featuring Santa that he is the brunt of some joke. Scenes where Santa Claus is paying the price for going too fast are not uncommon. Others have Santa deciding to keep especially cool presents for himself. Others include Ms. Claus giving Santa a hard time about his weight.
It’s hard to go wrong when using humor about children. Unreasonable requests of Santa in letters written by children are great fodder for inclusion in Christmas cards. A particularly popular funny cartoon shows Santa eating cookies next to an empty milk glass while reading the following letter, “Dear Santa, If you put a bike under the Christmas tree I’ll give you the anecdote for the poison I put in the milk. The best of all possible children, Timmy.”
If the person on your list loves animals, you can make them laugh by dressing up your animal as Santa, putting a bow on the animal as if it were a present, or decorate the creature as a reindeer.
If the card is being sent to an individual with a sense of humor and a strong liking for a public figure such as Barbara Streisand or Kobe Bryant, a characterized representation of that public person with a gentle jab of humor might be appropriate.
