For many people, the Christmas holiday season is analogous to stress. Traffic and crowds often take people out of comfort zones as they scurry around trying to find and purchase Christmas gifts. They are spending lots of money. They have even less time on their normally busy schedules. All that stress, though, can be relieved when they receive funny Christmas cards in the mail.

Keep in mind that your sense of humor might differ drastically from the individual you wish to send a card to. Think of the other person and their sense of humor before electing to send a humorous card for Christmas. Kid humor is always great. Letters written by children to Santa can produce a lot of laughable material. Santa, drinking a glass of milk, could have a shocked look on his face as he reads a note that says, “Dear Santa, If you put a bike under the Christmas tree I’ll give you the anecdote for the poison I put in the milk. Your loving friend, Timmy.”
Potential cards to animal lovers might include dressing and photographing your animal as if it were Santa, a present, or even as a reindeer.
If you really know the person you’re sending the card to well, you could include humorous words attributed to public figures such as Barbara Streisand or Kobe Bryant.
